The building blends perfectly with the rest of the plaza. One of its outstanding features is the splendid bronze door which leads to the main entrance of the building.

La Catedral fue construida en el mismo sito donde se celebró la primera misa para conmemorar la fundación de Bogotá en 1538. Este inmenso edificio es el cuarto que se ha construido en este mismo lugar. Su arquitectura consta de 3 naves de estilo neoclásico y de varias capillas laterales de estilo clásico. Aqui se encuentra la tumba de Gonzalo Jiménez de QuesadaLa Capilla del Sagrario, construida a mediados del siglo XVII, ha preservado su fachada de estilo barroco y es considerada como uno de los mejores ejemplos de arte santafereño. El Palacio Arzobispal, casa del arzobispo y varias autoridades de la religión católica. El edificio se integra muy bien con el resto de la plaza. Unas de sus características notables son sus lujosas puertas de bronce que llevan a la entrada principal. Su imponente fachada se caracteriza por su estilo neoclásico.

el recorrido por la candelaria fue muy interesante, se conose muchomas de lo que sabemos de los sitios de interes cultural que aqui se encuentran
